Spring Cultural Events in Calgary

JAZZ YYC--------INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAYS FESTIVAL.

Jazz YYC is Calgary's collaborative supporting jazz year round in the city.  Whether you are a jazz musician, a die-hard jazz fan or a jazz dabbler, the organization has something for everyone.  Calgary's jazz scene is exciting and plentiful where you can find jazz in clubs, restaurants, coffee shops and theatres!  Jazz has many colours ranging from elegant to energized to entertaining.  To give you an idea of what Jazz YYC offers, from April 26-30, International Jazz Days will be presenting the Tina Hartt Quintet, the Huu Bac Workshop which is a combination of Vietnamese and Chinese heritage with jazz and the John Raggensack Quartet.

ROYAL CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL FAMILY CIRCUS.

Before the times of computers, video games, and hand-held devices where one can play games, watch shows and television anytime, the wonderful world of a TRAVELLING CIRCUS with various live acts will be in Calgary between May 24 to June 2.  It has been described as a spell-binding journey filled with a diverse array of thrilling acts, a visual feast of high production value: an interactive extravagance that promises an unforgettable experience for all!

CALGARY INTERNATIONAL BEERFEST--May 3-4, 2024.

Calgary's International Beerfest is a prominent event in Calgary which is celebrated annually.  It ranks as one of Canada's largest beer festivals, offering attendees an opportunity to sample hundreds of domestic and international beers.  The festival not only features a vast array of beers but also showcases food from some of Calgary's finest restaurants and pubs with an emphasis of perfect pairings.  There will be 700 types of beers from over 200 breweries around the world.  For further information, check out their official website.
