COMEDY NIGHT IN CANADA

On November 9, four of Canada’s funniest people are coming to the Jack Singer Hall here in Calgary for Comedy Night in Canada!

Hosted by Rick Mercer, this is going to be one of the most amazing comedy shows you’re ever likely to see. Mercer is famous for his wry wit and searing insights, and he won’t be alone. The night will also feature Debra DiGiovanni, Ivan Decker and Ali Hassan!

Debra DiGiovanni has been making audiences laugh across Canada for a long time now, and has recently broken out in America too! You may remember her from Muchmusic’s Video On Trial, but if you see her November 9^th you’ll remember her for her uproarious comic stylings!

Ivan Decker is a Juno award-winning comedian with a smart style and a love of food. Watch him crack wise about airport lobsters, dark restaurants and how Americans react to “the machine.” He’s incredibly hilarious and if you’ve never seen him, you owe it to yourself to discover one of Canada’s funniest people. Ali Hassan is a former chef and a full-time father, and he transforms his experiences into guffaw-worthy stories that everyone can relate to.

JOHN CLEESE: WHY THERE IS NO HOPE

If Comedy Night in Canada isn’t enough, the VERY NEXT NIGHT you can catch Monty Python member John Cleese at the Jack Singer Hall as well! He’s on his “Why There is No Hope” tour, where he’ll be dispensing biting wit and hilarious cynicism in the way that only this elder statesman of comedy can.
